The Gloucestershire FA Youth Network is recruiting for new members. We are looking for a group of diverse, enthusiastic and influential young people to help deliver projects to better our local football community.
If you are aged between 16 and 24 years old, passionate about developing football and are a good team player, we want to hear from you!
The Gloucestershire FA Youth Network is set to be an extended arm of the Gloucestershire FA’s workforce, working to support and create innovative projects to engage our local communities. Through bi-monthly meetings, we’d like the Youth Network to work collaboratively alongside Gloucestershire FA staff to find new ways to connect with communities and be the voice for young people in the county.
The focus of the Gloucestershire FA Youth Network will be:
- To provide a voice for young people across Gloucestershire
- To support the development and delivery of football and programmes for young people
- To raise the profile of the GFA Youth Network
- To support the young people in the Network to develop themselves, their skills and give them meaningful experiences
Becoming part of the GFA Youth Network will provide individuals with experience that can enhance your CV as well as opening doors for a career within The FA or wider football network. On top of this, Youth Network members will also benefit from:

- Opportunity to sit on FA National Youth Council and visit Wembley Stadium

This individual will spearhead the group, taking the lead on meetings and designing and shaping the outcomes for the year. They will support the project officers to determine venues, dates and formats of the events. They will also be a key point of contact for members of staff at the County FA.
The Vice Chair will assist the Chair to help grow and develop the group. They will support all group members to be engaged throughout the season.
These members of the group will take the lead on specific areas of the game, working collaboratively with the corresponding member of GFA staff. The following roles are available:
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead
- Women and Girls Lead
- Disability Football Lead
- Workforce Lead (Coaching and Refereeing)
- Social Media Lead
These members will work collaboratively with the GFA Football Development team. They will share and input into Youth Network group projects.
If you are aged between 16 and 24 years old and want to have an impact on football at a grassroots level, this could be for you.
You don’t have to be involved with football at the moment, but it would be advantageous to have experience in coaching, refereeing, administering or supporting football.
You must live within our county borders which cover Gloucestershire and most of Bristol. We will encourage and accept applications from:
- Students within Higher Education at a College or University within the county
- Those in full or part-time employment
- Those currently volunteering within an adult or youth football club
- Those currently volunteering within an adult or youth football league
- Qualified football coaches
- Those in leadership roles with other organizations (Universities, sports bodies, charities)
- ANYONE who wants to make a difference and is aged 16-24!
