National Child Exploitation Awareness Day
Today [18 March] is National Child Exploitation Awareness Day. Gloucestershire FA is proud to show support for the work done by The NWG Exploitation Response Unit
The National Child Exploitation Awareness Day aims to highlight the issues surrounding Child Exploitation; encouraging everyone to think, spot and speak out against abuse and adopt a zero tolerance to adults developing inappropriate relationships with children or children exploiting and abusing their peers.

At the Gloucestershire FA, we are committed to the responsibile safeguarding and welfare of all young people involved in grassroots football.
We have a dedicated ‘Youth Zone’ for all youth players in the County. We strongly believe in ‘listening to children and young people’ and that their views are important.
Safeguarding Children is everyone’s responsibility and we have dedicated Welfare Officers in all Clubs and Leagues with youth teams. We fully support and appreciate our team of dedicated volunteer Club and League Welfare Officers, who work tirelessly towards maintaining a safe and fun environment for young people who play, train, referee and coach.
Creating fun, safe football environments is central to safeguarding children.
