County Cup Rule Changes
Rule changes have been made to effect all County Cups this season
At the Gloucestershire FA Council meeting held on 12 September, members approved changes to Rules 4 and 13 published in the ‘County Cup – General Rules’ of the Handbook.
In summary:
- Rule 4(c) - Players no longer need to be registered 7 days prior to the quarter final to be eligible to play in the semi-final and final for their team. Players still need to have played in a specified number of matches for the team to qualify.
- Rule 4(d) - Declaration of semi-final and final squads need to be received at least 14 days prior to the date of the semi final. The rule previously required the declaration to be made within 7 days of the completion of the quarter final match.
- Rule 13(a) - Team sheets submitted to FA Full Time will now be accepted. Clubs unable to submit team sheets for county cup matches on FA Full Time are still able to send completed copies of the match day team sheets to the Association.
A revised set of Rules is available to download below and are immediately effective. The electronic versions of the GFA Handbook 2019/20 have also been updated.
