GFA facilitates MP meeting with South Cotswolds clubs
Roz Savage, Liberal Democrat MP for the South Cotswolds constituency, recently partook in a visit to local clubs Cirencester Town FC and Stratton Youth FC to learn more about football facilities in the area.
The GFA was pleased to speak to Roz to demonstrate the impact that Football Foundation funding has had locally.
We discussed the funding process for 3G sites such as the one at Cirencester, before heading next door to meet Stratton Youth FC to talk about the sites they maintain and how clubs can benefit from the Grass Pitch Maintenance Fund.
Matt Boucher, GFA Head of Strategy and Delivery: “We are excited to see the recent commitment of an additional £100m towards sports facilities nationwide and this visit was a great chance to share some of the brilliant work being done by our football clubs. Whenever we can, we aim to foster links like this that will help our clubs to thrive and enjoy better facilities for all.”
