New Team Fund

The GFA is offering grants of up to £300 to support the development of new teams for the 2025/26 season.

To help support the creation of new football teams in the county, the Gloucestershire FA are pleased to announce the launch of a ‘New Team Fund’, giving money to clubs looking to set up new teams for the 2025/26 season.

This fund is open to clubs who are looking to create new teams in the following formats:

  • Open age (male or female)
  • Youth (male or female)
  • Disability
  • Walking Football
  • Veterans (+35)

Funding Amount 

We are offering grants up to £300, to support the development of new teams for the 2025/26 season.



Eligibility 

This fund will target clubs looking to develop new pathways (Male, Female, Disability), which will support in achieving a higher accreditation status. 

Clubs must meet the following criteria when applying for the grant: 

Clubs must provide an overview of where new players will be coming from. We will not fund existing teams. 

Clubs applying for the grant must either already be England Football Accredited or work towards achieving Accreditation within 1 month of receiving the fund.  

We will not award funding to any current clubs who have outstanding CFA debt. 

Clubs will only receive the funding to Club Bank Accounts, funding will not be paid to private bank accounts.  

Teams must state what the grant is going towards and be able to provide evidence of impact. 

Newly funded teams must affiliate and enter a league for the 2025/26 season.
