GFA U18 Match Report
Gloucestershire FA progressed to the fourth round of the FA County Cup where they will play Durham FA at home after a thrilling third round tie over last season’s beaten finalists Cornwall FA at Oaklands Park.
Gloucestershire had the better of the early exchanges on a cold frosty day but Cornwall took the lead against the run of play on 25 minutes with a left footed drive from Jack Webber which eluded Mason Hawkins in the Gloucestershire goal and nestled in the corner of the net.
Three minutes later Gloucestershire equalised when a through ball from McBeam fell to centre forward George Neil who scored from ten yards.
On 38 minutes a left sided free kick from Luke Spokes was powerfully headed home by an unmarked Andrew Freckleton to give Gloucestershire the lead.

Marcus Kelly made it 3 1 after a good break out of defence he reached the ball just before the Cornwall keeper Luke Gwiliam to roll the ball into the net.
Cornwall did not give up and they got on top inspired by the left sided Tiago Soares, Olly Walker made it 3 2 with a brilliant volley from a Soares cross.
A mazy dribble by Soares on 60 minutes ended with a firm finish giving the keeper no chance to make it 3 3.
The game continued end to end and on 69 minutes Luke Spookes hit the inside of the post for Gloucestershire with a right foot shot from the edge of the area.
As Gloucestershire looked for the winner a free kick from Kelly was well saved and a header forced the ball towards the goal and with Gloucestershire appealing for a goal Referee Richard Gardner waved play on.
McBeam nearly won the match in the 89th minute when his right foot shot came back off the crossbar.
The game ended after 90 minutes 3 3.
George Neil scored his second goal of the game to put Gloucestershire back in front in the first half of extra time and a goal from Luke Spokes made the game safe for Gloucestershire a minute from time as Cornwall were pressing for an equalizer.
