Funding is vital to improve grassroots football infrastructure across England.

Whether you’re looking to upgrade existing pitches, install new 3G artificial turf surfaces, or enhance facilities such as changing rooms, clubhouses, or floodlighting, grants are designed to support clubs and communities in developing high-quality, accessible football environments.

 

Football Foundation Grants

Who can apply? 

Football clubs, leagues, schools, and local authorities are eligible to apply for funding. Grants are tailored to meet the specific needs of different projects, whether you're maintaining natural grass pitches or installing state-of-the-art artificial surfaces.

Premier League Stadium Fund

The Premier League Stadium Fund (PLSF) is a non-charitable arm of the Football Foundation funded by the Premier League.

These grants are designed to improve stadium safety and enable clubs to satisfy The FA’s ground-grading requirements.

Who is it for?

  • Clubs in the National League System (Steps 1 to 6)
  • Clubs in the Women's Football Pyramid (Tiers 1 to 4)
  • Clubs promoted into EFL League Two

Gloucestershire has already benefitted from the PLSF with over £500,000 provided to help fund the reconstruction of Gloucester City's stadium following flooding.

Howdens' Game Changer Programme

As partners of England Football, Howdens have committed to providing millions of pounds worth of kitchens for Accredited grassroots football clubs.

The first few years of the programme have been highly succesful with clubs up and down the country benefitting, including right here in Gloucestershire.
